Estimados socios y amigos,

Una vez más, estamos con ustedes para contarles acerca de nuestras novedades en cuanto a diversas actividades filatélicas.

Nuevos socios.

En las últimas dos sesiones de Directorio, fueron aprobadas las solicitudes de ingreso de las siguientes personas:

Exposición Filatélica en Medellín.

Se informa que don Patricio Aguirre asistirá a la Exposición Filatélica a desarrollar en Medellín, Colombia entre los días 19 y 25 de Octubre de 2011, como Jurado Aprendiz. Además asistirá a la Asamblea FIAF como representante de FESOFI- CHILE y es designado como Comisario por Chile. El siguiente es el listado de colecciones aceptadas para competir en la citada Exhibición:

Asamblea Anual de Socios.

Con fecha 29 de Julio de 2011, fue celebrada la Asamblea Anual de Socios, en la cual el Presidente don Heinz Junge presentó a la concurrencia, la Memoria correspondiente al período Julio 2010 a Junio 2011, la que fue aprobada y muy aplaudida, cuyo texto lo podrán leer en nuestra página web y el próximo ejemplar de la revista “Chile Filatélico”.

Vitrina Museo en nuestra sede.

Se encuentra ya instalada la vitrina que contiene Mataselladores antiguos donados por distintos miembros de la Sociedad, la cual fue obsequiada por nuestro VicePresidente, don Ricardo Boizard, Se invita a los socios a obsequiar mataselladores u otras especies filatélicas que mantengan guardados en sus pertenencias, para así ir acrecentando las piezas que en definitiva se convertirán en patrimonio del Museo de la Institución.

Exhibiciones en el marco de difusión de la filatelia en colegios.

Nuestro Director, don Manuel Varela, está realizando exhibiciones de sellos en distintos Colegios, para lo cual requiere que los socios contribuyan a colaborar con colecciones para que pueda ampliarse la presentación en los diferentes establecimientos educacionales. Ya se han hecho con éxito muestras en tres Colegios, dos de Santiago y otro de San Felipe.

Taller Primeras Emisiones de Chile.

El taller sobre Primeras Emisiones de Chile, se realizará en nuestra sede los días Sábado 24 de Septiembre y 1/ 8 de Octubre de 2011 en horario de 11:00 a 13:30 horas, dirigido por nuestro socio don Walter Kaltwasser y los socios Rodrigo Bravo, Raúl Poblete y Arturo Ramírez. La coordinación estará a cargo del Director don Martín Urrutia.

Exposición Filatélica Nacional FAEF 2011 (ARGENTINA).

Con fecha 20 de Agosto de 2011, se llevó a cabo la ceremonia del Palmarés de la Exposición Filatélica Nacional FAEF 2011 (ARGENTINA ). Tenemos el agrado de comunicar con gran satisfacción que el Gran Premio de la Exposición FAEF 2011, medalla de Oro Grande y Premio Especial Sociedad Filatélica de Chile por la profundidad de la investigación correspondió al filatelista argentino don Andrés Schlichter por su colección “El Correo en Punta Arenas, Magallanes (CHILE) 1875-1945”.

Asimismo, ponemos en su conocimiento que nuestro Director, don Patricio Aguirre ha sido aprobado como Jurado Aprendiz nacional para Argentina, válido también para Chile, en las categorías de filatelia clásica, historia postal y literatura filatélica.

Convenio de Cooperación Chile - Saint Pierre et Miquelón.

Con fecha 30 de Agosto de 2011, se llevó efecto en la Sede de la Institución, la firma de un Convenio de Cooperación entre la Federación de Sociedades Filatélicas de Chile, representada por el Presidente de la Sociedad Filatélica de Chile, don Heinz Junge y el Club Filatélico de Saint Pierre et Miquelón, representado por su Presidente, señor Jean-Jacques Tillard.
Actuó como testigo del evento, el Secretario de la Federación Interamericana de Filatelia, don Aldo Samamé y Samamé. Finalmente, compartimos con ellos el almuerzo de ese día.

Martes 6 de Septiembre de 2011.

Antes de iniciarse el almuerzo tradicional, el Presidente don Heinz Junge invitó a los asistentes a reunirse al final del jardín de nuestra Sede, donde se encuentran depositadas las cenizas de nuestro querido Socio Honorario y Miembro Distinguido, don Derek Palmer, para rendirle un homenaje, con ocasión de los 10 años desde su fallecimiento. Con emotivas palabras, se refirió a las extraordinarias cualidades de Derek en cuanto a su honorabilidad, inteligencia, sabiduría filatélica y amistad con que nos brindó durante todos sus años como miembro de nuestra Institución.
Posteriormente, durante el almuerzo, se felicitó con un gran aplauso a don Heriberto Vogler por haber cumplido ese día, 66 años de miembro de la Sociedad.

Once again, this is to let you know about our latest different philatelic activities. .

New fellow-members

In the last two Board sessions, the following membership applications were accepted:

Philatelic Exhibition in Medellin.

We inform you that Mr. Patricio Aguirre will attend the Philatelic Exhibit in Medellin, Colombia as Apprentice Judge. The exhibition is to be held between 19 and 25 October, 2011. Additionally, he will be attending the FIAF Assembly on behalf of FESOFI – CHILE as Chile Commissioner.

The collections accepted for competition in the exhibition are listed below:

Annual Society Meeting

The Annual Society Meeting was held on 29 July 2011. The President, Mr. Heinz Junge, presented to the audience the Annual Report for the July 2010 - June 2011 period. His report was approved of and received great warm applause. The whole report will be uploaded onto our website and will also be included in the next issue of Chile Filatélico .

Showcase in our House.

We have installed a showcase containing old handstampers previously donated by fellow-members of our society. The showcase was donated by our Vice-President, Mr. Ricardo Boizard. We invite all our fellow-members to donate handstampers or other philatelic items that you may wish to share with us all and so that we can increase the present number of collection pieces which will finally become common heritage of our Museum.

Exhibits for the spreading of philately in schools.

Director Manuel Varela, is arranging stamp exhibitions in different schools. He requests fellow-members to help increase the size of the material to be exhibited by making available items of their personal collections. He has already succeeded in arranging three exhibitions, one at a school in San Felipe and two at schools in Santiago.

First Emissions Workshop.

The first Chilean Emissions Workshop will be held on Saturday 24th September, 1st and 8th October, from 11:00 to 13:30 at our House. It will be conducted by the following fellow-members: Walter Kaltwasser, Rodrigo Bravo, Raúl Poblete, and Arturo Ramírez. The Workshop Coordinator will be our Director Martín Urrutia.

Argentina National Philatelic Exhibit FAEF 2011 .

Last August 20th 2011, the Honours Ceremony of the Argentina National Philatelic Exhibit, FAEF 2011, took place. We are happy to communicate that the Grand Award of the FAEF 2011 Exhibit, the Grand Gold Medal and the Chilean Philatelic Society Special Award for research depth given to the Argentinian philatelist Andrés Schlichter for his collections El Correo en Punta Arenas, Magallanes (Chile) 1875–1945” (Postal Service in Punta Arenas, Magallanes (Chile) 1875–1945”). We express our congratulations to Andrés.

Director Patricio Aguirre has been accepted as national Apprentice Judge in Argentina. This certification is also valid in Chile for the following categories: classic philately, postal history and philatelic literature. We also express our congratulations to Patricio .

Cooperation Agreement Chile – Sant Pierre et Miquelón

Last August 30, a mutual Cooperation Agreement was signed at our House between the Federation of Chilean Philatelic Societies, represented by the Chilean Philatelic Society President, Mr. Heinz Junge, and the Saint Pierre et Miquelón Philatelic Club, represented by its President, Mr. Jean-Jacques Tillard. Mr. Aldo Samamé y Samamé, Secretary of the Inter-American Philatelic Federation, acted as notary. Following the signing of the agreement, we all enjoyed lunching together.

News of Tuesday, September 6.

Before starting our traditional lunch, President Mr. Heinz Junge invited the audience to walk to the far end of the House garden, where rest the remains of our beloved Honorary Member and Distinguished Member, Mr. Derek Palmer, in order to pay tribute to him on the occasion of his tenth death anniversary. With moving words, Mr. Junge described Mr. Palmer’s qualities, enhancing his honour, intelligence, philatelic knowledge, and sense of friendship, which he generously shared with us all during the years when he was fellow- member of our society.
Later, during the lunch, Mr. Heriberto Vogler was congratulated on with great applause for his 66-year-long membership in our Society.
